**** I encourage you to view this with someone else.  It is more fun to see the difference in perception especially when you are looking at the same thing and seeing something different!

Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or counter-clockwise? If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Most of us would see the dancer turning counter-clockwise because we are conditioned to use more of the left side of the brain.  You can focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.  Now, go to your heart and increase the dose of love and see what happens?

If the dancer is switching back and forth you may be in whole brain balance.  What does this mean? You may be connecting with your heart and brain.  As you learn more through taking the assessments you will understand how important your heart is to your brain and your brain is to your heart.  This is a match made in heaven when they are working together in harmony.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS:  Logical, analytically, precise, repetitive, organized, details, scientific, detached, literal, and sequential.  You “THINK” IQ is important.  Usually left brain people are right handed.  Rarely you find a left brain person who is left handed.

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS: Uses feeling “big picture” oriented imagination, creative, general, intuitive, conceptual, heuristic, empathetic, figurative, and also known to be irregular.  You “FEEL” and generally have more EQ (Emotionial Intelligence) then left brainers.

Generally, a left handed person can be more Right brained or Whole Brain which is also know as having more emotional intelligence (EI) or heart intelligence.  Research showed that half of the US presidents since 1929 have been left-handed.  Pretty interesting since only 10% of the population is left handed.  Left-handed individuals are supposedly more creative and articulate than their right-handed counterparts, due to differences in brain function and heart connection, which may have something to do with the high number of left-handed presidents.

What Is EI?

EI is the ability to perceive, control, and evaluate emotions in both yourself and others, individually and in groups. It is a human being’s natural ability to understand and interpret emotions. We do this every day without realizing there is a term for it.

The idea of emotional intelligence emerged in the early 1990s. The concept was developed by two psychologists and researchers, Peter Salovey and John Mayer, but it became more widely known through Daniel Goleman’s 1995 best-seller Emotional Intelligence: Why It Matters More Than IQ. Salavoy and Mayer defined emotional intelligence as, “the subset of social intelligence that involves the ability to monitor one’s own and others’ feelings and emotions, to discriminate among them and to use this information to guide one’s thinking and actions”.

What’s important is that it involves two separate abilities: 1) the ability to recognize, understand, and manage, and 2) the ability to influence. In other words, EI allows you to be more self-aware and thus make better decisions. It can also come in handy when selling, persuading co-workers or employees, or solving problems. You can harness your emotions and use them for problem-solving tasks.

WHOLE BRAIN BALANCE: Coherent neuro-electrical activity, balanced brain chemistry, better problem solving, activates higher function, assimilation, retention, recall, clarity and focus.  You are centered in your HEART!  Being in balance with your IQ and EQ harmonizes your life.  Did you know that your heart is a brain also?  In fact, it is known as your first brain.
